What Is Bloom Skin?
K-beauty's biggest story for years was "glass skin" — the mirror-flat, high-shine finish chased with a 10-step routine and a filter to match. That's changing. The industry is now talking about bloom skin: skin that looks naturally luminous because it's genuinely healthy underneath, not because it's been polished on top.
Where glass skin was about surface — reflectiveness, poreless smoothness, a look you could fake with the right lighting — bloom skin is about function: a strong skin barrier, real hydration, and even tone built up over time with ingredients that do something measurable. Less "10 steps because 10 steps," more "the right actives, consistently."
What that means for what we stock
You'll notice a lot of our range already leans this way — products with a named, dosed active rather than a vague trend claim: niacinamide at a stated percentage, retinol and retinal for cell turnover, PDRN for skin regeneration, azelaic acid for redness and texture, peptides for firmness, and Centellian24's TECA centella technology — a derma-cosmetic ingredient developed by Dongkook Pharmaceutical, a Korean pharmaceutical company, since 1968.
We've pulled all of these into one place: the Bloom Skin Edit. If you want a routine built on ingredients you can point to and explain, rather than a routine for its own sake, that's the place to start.
This sits alongside our Authenticity Promise — sourcing real, correctly labelled stock is the other half of "you can trust what's actually in the bottle."
